Chapter 1142: She Will Never Belong to You
Chapter 1142: She Will Never Belong to You
Ryan Walyon inexplicably felt that there seemed to be a hint of hostility towards him.
However, he couldn’t understand where this hostility came from.
After being stunned for a while, Ryan Walyon pondered and finally thought of Summer Sutton.
Is it related to Summer?
Summer is his girlfriend now; the two of them even got into a fight because of Summer.
If it’s related to Summer Sutton, then Watt Bennet’s cold attitude towards him makes sense.
"No problem." Ryan Walyon didn’t push it and downed his glass of wine, placing the glass down as he sat.
From start to finish, Watt Bennet didn’t really pay attention to him, quietly having his meal and listening to others at the table.
After finishing discussing business with those beside him, Ryan Walyon couldn’t help turning his head to scrutinize him.
Ryan Walyon still couldn’t understand why Summer would be interested in Watt Bennet.
He suddenly became very curious about what qualities this man had that made Summer take a liking to him in such a short time.
At the table, others chatted and laughed, some drinking and talking.
The only idle ones were Ryan Walyon and Watt Bennet.
As Ryan Walyon stared at Watt Bennet, he suddenly asked, "I hadn’t heard of Mr. Bennet’s name more than two months ago. Where did Mr. Bennet live before?"
Watt Bennet’s hand paused with the teacup, remaining silent for a while before saying indifferently, "There are many things Mr. Walyon hasn’t heard of."
His tone was consistently sharp, causing Ryan Walyon’s face to stiffen slightly.
Since he was so impolite, Ryan Walyon couldn’t be bothered to be polite either.
Gently placing down the wine glass, Ryan Walyon’s gaze turned directly to him, "The woman currently with you, I don’t know what method you used to make her like you, but she doesn’t belong to you. She’s still carrying the title of a Walyon family member. Being with a married woman, don’t you feel any guilt?"
"Why feel guilty? Isn’t mutual affection what matters?" Watt Bennet lightly tapped the crystal teacup with his fingertips, giving him a sidelong glance and coldly reminding him, "She never belonged to you! Never, from the start!"
His words hit the crucial point.
A trace of pain seemed to pass through Ryan Walyon’s eyes, and he said nothing for a long time.
"If it’s not yours, it never will be. Give it up!" Watt Bennet said, standing up.
"Sorry, I have to go back to accompany my girlfriend." He tossed out a word to the others at the table, picked up his phone, and strode out of the restaurant.
As he reached the door, Summer Sutton and Ariella Sawyer happened to walk in arm in arm, seemingly there for a meal.
Seeing Watt Bennet, Summer Sutton was stunned, "You’re here too!"
Watt Bennet didn’t offer her an explanation, not wanting her and Ryan Walyon to run into each other; he grabbed her and pulled her out, "There’s nothing good to eat here. Let’s go, take out and eat somewhere else!"
Pushing and dragging, he forced Summer Sutton out of the restaurant.
"Watt, what are you doing? I came with Little Ariella; what about her if I leave?" Summer Sutton was uncooperative, glancing back at Ariella Sawyer several times.
"I’ll call for my assistant to pick her up." Watt Bennet tossed her the words, forcing her into the car.
Ariella Sawyer stood stiffly at the doorway, watching their figures leave, then turned her head to look inside the restaurant.
Catching sight of Ryan Walyon, she was momentarily stunned.
She once thought that without Adrian Walyon, there might be a possibility between Ryan Walyon and Summer Sutton.
But she hadn’t expected another Watt Bennet...
