Chapter 147: Difference Greater Than Heaven And Earth

In the evening, Raiden watched as the numerous trucks rolled in, planted the trees where he wanted, and left. With the addition of 25 new trees, the farm looked much bigger now.

He needed to get started on the farming side soon, as the money matters were cutting and pressing.

He talked to Sarah yesterday on the phone, and she said they were in debt of 73 Million Credits!!! That woman had spent 73 million to expand the business. It was completely bonkers to him.

And on top of that, the deadline to pay back that 73 million was one year!! And he had yet to see a single dime made from that store, only investments. Sometimes he wondered if that woman had scammed him, but he had seen all the books and the clear investments she had made herself. The debt was real, and so was the soul-crushing pressure of earning that money back.

If he added his original debt of 100 million, plus the 31 million pending debt to the Stormwind family, as well as Sarah’s debt he owed, he owed over 200 million in debts.

He was running a successful farm business, right? So why did his debt keep increasing instead of decreasing?! Raiden felt like crying just by thinking about this.

"Sigh. Nevermind. With my powers and cheat code, I will earn much more money than that very, very soon and pay back all the debt. Who’s with me?!!" Raiden cheered himself up.

"Sha Sha!!" Neva cheered with him on top of his head, having no clue to what he was talking about. Whatever it was, she supported him unconditionally.

"Rai Rai~, Woolie and you can takee a break for a few days, then we will begin taking our revenge..." A hissing sound rang near Raiden’s ears, making him shiver and almost jump up on the spot.

"Woah Aunt Ruby, please don’t scare me like that. Anyway, revenge, huh? You are right. It’s about time to take care of that business." Raiden muttered with narrow eyes as he looked at her.

"Do you know wheree to find them?? If you don’t. I can drownn the wholee city in—"

"No, don’t!!!" Raiden exclaimed hurriedly. What happened to this peaceful aunt? She was talking about killing all the humans in after every single sentence and destroying the city after every 3 sentences.

He wanted to take his own revenge, but he didn’t want to drag innocent people into it.

"I think I have a way to find them and where they are hiding. We can go and attack directly at their base, but are you okay, Aunt Ruby? From what I know, we might directly face a Diamond Battle Master, which won’t be easy."

Ruby paused for a moment, before she started moving backwards to her sleeping place.

"It’s finee. I can handlee the Diamondd and Platinumm Tierr. You should be able to handlee all the gold and below Battle Masterss." Ruby hissed before slithering away, back to her lair, leaving Raiden alone to think about the future.

He remembered the line he read in a book once before, after he inherited the farm and started researching about the Terra Beasts.

Perhaps he will be able to witness that gap and see Ruby in action firsthand. He just didn’t have any way to heal her for now, and she was already injured, according to the system status screen, which made Raiden reluctant to take her to fight. He wanted her to avoid fighting if possible and focus on recovery only, but it was clear he couldn’t beat them alone.

He even considered the possibility of getting Isadora’s help. It would be incredibly easy, but there were some things in his life he had to do himself. Or if he was too reliant on Morgana’s family, there was a chance they might reject him in the future.

Humans were hypocrites like that. They said you can not ask us for help anytime, and when you did, they will just cut you off from their life. Plus, it was not a favour he wanted to take on his head.

Shaking his head, Raiden let all the stray thoughts slip out of his head and work as he started working on the farm, tending to all the new trees that arrived today. He had much more work to do, and the revenge could wait for a few days. After his and Woolie’s souls were completely healed, that day will be the day the Ashford family took their revenge on everyone

It had been a few days since the day he talked to Ruby last. By now, all of his and Woolie’s injuries were mostly gone. He spent the whole day just relaxing and talking to his dear girlfriend, Morgana, who was now a proper student of Archon Academy.

She had cleared all the tests with flying colours with the help of Nuclear Potential Phoenix, securing admission in Archon Academy, turning their relationship into a long-distance one.

Speaking of her.

"You are not good for my heart, my dear," Raiden spoke dramatically, putting a hand on his heart.

"Oh? Why is that??" Morgana snickered as she asked him. She had figured out most of his antics by now and knew he was up to his awkward flirting style once again.

"Okay, every time you appear on the screen, my heart starts beating so fast that it might just leap out of his chest and fly to you, for it yearns for you." Raiden he spoke the cheesy line without any shame on his face, grinning from ear to ear, making Morgana blush a little.

"Shut up!! Anyway, it’s all your fault. We have stayed together by now if you just applied for the academy with me, almost everyone here is weaker than me. To be honest, I am kind of disappointed. I expected them to be a lot stronger." Morgana muttered under her breath.

"Hahaha, not everyone can be as strong as my wifey!!" Raiden laughed happily.

"Who is your wifey?! We just started dating, I still need to see your performance in the future first. Don’t be weaker than me when I come back or else." Morgana swung her little fist on screen, threatening him, but it had reverse effect.

"No way!! You were so Dominating. Before, now you can’t run away!! You are going to be my wife now. Come on, call me husband quickly." Raiden spoke with a excited expression.

"No way!!"

"Please!!"

"No!!"

"Please, my dear wife, I’ll do anything."

"Fine!! Only because you insisted so much, okay?! H-Husband..."

"Wahaha. I recorded it, you can’t back out now!!"
