Chapter 59 Cement Appears! The Twins Are Dirty and Need a Bath...
The riverbank behind Langya Village was now a scene of utter devastation.
"Cough cough cough! This thing really works?"
Qin Feng, the fifth brother, emerged from a huge mixing pit, his face covered in soot and grime. His usually sleek, curly hair was now covered in a layer of grayish-white mud, dripping with grayish water.
"If my sister-in-law says it can be done, then it definitely can!"
Qin Yun, the sixth brother, was in an even worse situation than him. He almost fell into a pit while trying to test the proportions.
At that moment, he was only wearing a pair of short trousers, and his strong body was covered with that sticky, grayish mud, making him look like a mud monkey that had just crawled out of the terracotta army pit.
"But... we've been stirring for half an hour, and it's still just a soft, limp puddle of mud." Qin Feng wiped his face, but the more he wiped, the dirtier it got, blurring his vision: "Can this really turn into stone? Is my sister-in-law just playing a trick on us, trying to make us jump into this mud puddle?"
Shh! My sister-in-law is here!
In the distance, Su Wan, dressed in a light pink dress, was walking gracefully towards them, carrying two bamboo tubes (containing chilled plum juice).
She walked carefully, afraid of stepping on a speck of mud. But in the twins' eyes, that spotless pink was the only salvation in this gloomy world!
"How's it going?" Su Wan stopped three meters away from the edge of the pit (a safe distance), and glanced disdainfully at the two still-wriggling "mud figures" in the pit: "Is the proportion correct? Limestone, clay, and that... iron slag, are they all added?"
"Added! All added!" Qin Feng, the fifth brother, excitedly climbed out of the pit.
With his movements, the grayish-white mud slid down his taut muscles, outlining the boy's unique, explosive physique. Though dirty, the raw tension was palpable.
"Sister-in-law! Look!" Qin Feng proudly presented a lump of freshly mixed cement: "This stuff looks soft now, but the piece that was spilled on the side seems to have hardened a bit already!"
Su Wan peeked over and saw that the layer of cement that had been laid on the experimental field next to her half an hour earlier had now turned white and hardened.
"It's done!" Su Wan's eyes lit up, and a satisfied smile appeared on her lips: "This is [cement]! Once it dries, it's harder than stone! From now on, we won't have to wade through mud on the roads of our academy after rain!"
"It can really turn into stone?!" The sixth brother, Qin Yun, also climbed out, yelling excitedly. Without thinking, he rushed towards Su Wan: "Sister-in-law, you're amazing! Sister-in-law, hug me! I want to share in your joy!"
"Stop! Halt!" Su Wan was terrified, her face turning pale, and she backed away repeatedly: "Don't come any closer! Look at yourselves! You're filthy!"
Two teenagers, covered in cement slurry, stood frozen in place.
The grievances were visible to the naked eye.
The fifth brother hung his head, his curly hair almost flattened: "My sister-in-law dislikes us..."
"My eldest brother was covered in sweat and his wife wiped him down, and my fourth brother reeked of money and his wife massaged his legs... But when it came to us, we were just filthy..."
The sixth brother went even further, plopping down on the ground (in the mud), tilting his mud-covered face upwards, and blinking his large eyes, only the whites remaining: "Sister-in-law doesn't love us anymore. We're just unwanted little mud dogs, doing the dirtiest work, eating the least meat, and not even getting a hug... Waaah..."
Su Wan: "..." These two drama queens! They know she has mysophobia, yet they're still playing the victim!
But looking into those two wet, pitiful dog eyes, Su Wan's heart softened.
These are the Qin family's most innocent and obedient (most of the time) twins. They've been rolling around in mud all day trying to help her create this "infrastructure marvel."
"Alright, alright, stop wailing." Su Wan sighed, put the plum juice in her hand on the stone, and pointed to the bamboo water pipe that ran down from the mountain next to her: "You just want praise, don't you? There's no way I'll hug you, these clothes are still new."
She walked over, picked up the bamboo tube that was still gushing water, and tested the water pressure. It was alright; spring water, quite strong.
"Come here." Su Wan beckoned to the two of them, her eyes filled with a helpless yet doting look: "Stand still. Your sister-in-law will... give you a rinse."
"A bath?!" The twins exchanged a glance, instantly revived! Their sister-in-law was going to give them a bath herself?!
This treatment! This is top-tier VIP treatment that even the eldest and second eldest brothers don't receive!
"Here you are!" The two of them jumped up with a thud and ran to Su Wan, standing obediently in front of her.
One on the left and one on the right, they resemble two clay door gods awaiting inspection.
"Turn around," Su Wan commanded.
The two obediently turned their backs.
"Sizzle—!" Su Wan pressed her finger against the mouth of the bamboo tube, turning the water into a powerful jet that sprayed directly onto Lao Wu's back!
The icy mountain spring water sent a shiver down Qin Feng's spine! "Hiss—! Sister-in-law! So cool! So refreshing!"
As the water flowed, the thick layer of grayish-white cement slurry was washed away, revealing the bronze-colored skin underneath.
That was the firm yet resilient back of a young boy.
Water droplets slid down the deep groove of her spine, past her firm, upturned buttocks (even though she was wearing pants), and flowed down her slender calves.
"My turn! My turn!" The sixth brother impatiently stuck out his buttocks.
Su Wan flicked her wrist, and a jet of water sprayed towards Lao Liu. "Hahahaha! Sister-in-law, don't spray my waist! It tickles!" Lao Liu twisted like a maggot, his whole body trembling.
Gradually, the mud was mostly washed away. But the clothes were still on their bodies.
Those thin, short trousers, soaked with water, became almost transparent, clinging tightly to her body and outlining certain blush-inducing silhouettes.
"Alright...alright! You're all clean now! Go soak in the river!" Su Wan felt her throat was a little dry, so she quickly threw down the bamboo tube and ran away.
"Not clean yet!" A large hand suddenly reached out and grabbed Su Wan's wrist. It was Lao Wu. He was soaking wet, his hair still dripping, and his eyes were surprisingly bright after being washed, with a kind of aggressiveness unique to young wolves.
"Sister-in-law, the front hasn't been washed yet." Qin Feng pulled Su Wan's hand, put the bamboo tube back into her hand, and then... took a step closer.
"In front?" Su Wan looked at the chest so close to hers, water droplets sliding down his full pectoral muscles, past his taut abs, and disappearing into the edge of his semi-transparent waistband. Too...too sexy!
"Yeah, it's all mud in front." The sixth brother also came over and blocked Su Wan's retreat from behind.
The two men, one in front and one behind, sandwiched Su Wan in the middle. The damp scent, a mixture of earthy smell, mountain spring water, and the unique body odor of a young man, instantly overwhelmed her.
"Sister-in-law, please help me." The sixth brother lowered his head, rubbing his wet head against Su Wan's shoulder like a golden retriever shaking off water after a bath: "We can't see it ourselves, so we can't get it clean." "What if this cement dries on our skin... and hardens?"
Boom—! Su Wan felt like she was about to explode! These two were doing it on purpose.
"You...you wash yourselves!" Su Wan's hands were trembling, and the water in the bamboo tube splashed everywhere, spraying Qin Feng's face.
Qin Feng didn't dodge. He stuck out his tongue, licked the water droplets from the corner of his mouth, and stared intently at Su Wan: "Sister-in-law, why is your face so red?"
"Don't you also feel... that we've changed?"
"Cough!!!"
A heavy cough, carrying three parts warning and seven parts murderous intent, came from not far away.
The twins froze, like geese being choked, and instantly let go.
There stood Qin Mo, the second brother, on the riverbank. He held a book in his hand, and his gold-rimmed glasses gleamed coldly in the sunlight.
Although he was smiling, the smile didn't reach his eyes; instead, it exuded a chilling aura that seemed to want to kill.
"Fifth brother, sixth brother." Qin Mo pushed up his glasses, his voice gentle and warm: "Now that the cement is ready, let's get to paving the road."
"Bullying your sister-in-law here...are you asking for a beating? Or do you want me to loosen your bones?"
"Second brother! We're not! We're taking a bath!" The twins, their survival instincts kicking in, shouted in unison, then with two "plop" sounds, they plunged directly into the river beside them. They swam faster than fish!
Su Wan finally breathed a sigh of relief, patted her burning cheeks, and glared at the two heads still splashing in the river: "You two little rascals! No dinner tonight!"
After speaking, she straightened her somewhat disheveled clothes and walked towards Qin Mo.
"Second Brother, what brings you here?"
Qin Mo looked at her hand, which had just touched Lao Wu's abs, and his eyes darkened slightly.
He took out a clean handkerchief, stepped forward, and without saying a word, took Su Wan's hand and carefully wiped away the remaining water stains and mud.
"Let's check the road." Qin Mo's voice was deep, but the wiping motion carried a hint of punishing force: "And while you're at it, see if any of those clueless mud monkeys have gotten your hands dirty."
He wiped very carefully. Every finger, every space between them.
Finally, he gently pressed on Su Wan's palm, on the spot where he had just touched her abs.
"Sister-in-law." He leaned closer to her, a dark glint flashing in his phoenix eyes behind his glasses: "From now on, let them do this kind of rough work themselves."
He took Su Wan's hand and placed it on the jade pendant at his waist: "Second brother has one here too."
Su Wan: "..." Are these seven Qin brothers missing something in their five elements?! Why is it that they all seem to have a problem with those two words?!
……
Meanwhile, at the entrance of Langya Village, several villagers from a neighboring village who had come to watch the spectacle, along with the scout sent by Guigu Academy, were staring in disbelief at the scene before them.
The once muddy and potholed road leading into the village was now covered with a layer of grayish-white stuff. That stuff... had dried.
A daring villager took a hoe and dug at it. "Clang!" Sparks flew everywhere! The hoe dulled, and not a single white mark was left on the road!
"My God! This is like turning lead into gold!"
"The Qin family really knows sorcery! They turned mud into stone!"
"This isn't road construction; it's a highway to the heavens!"
The scout's legs went weak with fear, and he scrambled back, shouting, "Report! Commander! Something terrible has happened!"
"The Qin family... the Qin family knows magic! They turned the entire mountain into an iron barrel!"
